LEVER ACTION CARBINE. Cal. 30 WCF. S# 917533. Bbl. 20". Model 94 lever action saddle ring carbine mfg. by Winchester in 1922. The left side of the bbl. exhibits Winchester's 2 line address, with the cal. designation at the breech. Buttplate tang is marked "N.J. Plain wood straight grip buttstock and forend have been very lightly sanded and revarnished. Handmade beaded blade front sight with Marbles U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: receiver and lever retain scant traces of their original factory blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a mottled gray and brown patina with some areas of light pitting and surface oxidation. Bbl. and mag. tube exhibit wear and thinning that shows through to brown patina. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting and good rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (23-5355/MLW). CURIO. $600-900.
