RO-BAYONET TRAPDOOR RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. S# 538381. Right side of buttstock stamped "13 NY" & Comb stamped "414" indicating this rifle was # 414 in the 13th Regiment of the New York State National Guard. Mfg. 1892. Bbl. 32 5/8". Barleycorn front sight & Buffington rear sight. 1884 Dated, low arch breechblock. Walnut musket stock w/ trapdoor buttplate & retractable rod bayonet. CONDITION: iron parts, barrel, breech & lock have gray/brown patina appearance with trace spots of blue. Wood has good worn finish with numerous dings & marks. Good rifling with a couple of large dark spots. (01-27810/MD). ANTIQUE. $500-800.
