DA REVOLVER. Cal. 32 Police (32 Colt New Police). S# 2621 (1898, 1st year of production). In 1896, Commissioner of the Police Department of New York City, Theodore Roosevelt, adopted this revolver as standard issue. The back strap is engraved "New York Police" & butt has # "3035". Left side trigger guard has "star" as possible factory rework mark; later replacement 4" bbl. w/ fixed sight & 1905 patent date. High polish blue finished revolver w/ 6 shot fluted cyl., fire blued trigger & some screws. Matching numbered 2 piece hard rubber Colt grips. CONDITION: very good frame blue as factory quality refinish. Very good replacement bbl. blue. Cyl. has good blue w/ cyl. turn line, wear, oxidation & patina. Very good grips. Very good bore.
