Cal. 22 LR. S# F4118. Bbl. 25 1/2". Standard SMLE sights with rear graduated to 2000m. Both volley sights still intact. Matching numbers on receiver, nosecap & bolt which appears arsenal renumbered. Top of butt stock is numbered "450". Receiver ring & stock disc have additional New Zealand inventory number that matches each other. Forend & rear sight appear unnumbered. SMLE MK3 rifle converted to rimfire training rifle. Right side of socket has Enfield SHTLE markings with 1909 date & "NZ" property marking with lined out inventory number & "18" date. Left side of socket has "SHT 22/IV*/NZ" markings. Arsenal blue finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels & leather sling. No stacking hook present. MAGS: 1-0 rd with removed internals & "22" marking. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework finish with a couple light chips, scattered dings, handling marks & service wear. Butt stock is loose as-is typical for SMLEs. Metal retains 40% arsenal rework blue with overall fading to gray, scattered light oxidation, edge wear & handling marks.
