SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9x23mm Steyr. S# 5232f. Bbl. 5 1/8". Model 1912 Steyr-Hahn semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Steyr for the Austrian military in 1914. Left side of the slide is marked, with the S#, followed by "STEYR 1914". Left side of the frame is marked with th3 S#, with an Austrian military "W-n (AUSTRIAN EAGLE) 14" acceptance proof marked on the right. Frame and slide exhibit a blue finish, with the bbl., trigger, and hammer being polished in-the-white. Extractor, frame screw, and grip screw exhibit a straw finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Dovetailed blade front sight, with fixed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster marked "STEYR 1914" on the rear and 3 stripper clips. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning, as well as areas of light surface oxidation overall. In-the-white parts and strawed parts exhibit scattered spots of age related discoloration, as well as some light pitting. Mirror bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are good, showing some smoothing, as well as a few scattered superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some wear, but otherwise remaining sturdy and serviceable. (24-6870/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
