ASSOCIATION COMMEMORATIVE SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH SOFT CASE, MATCHING BOX, & FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 22 LR. S# 2011BCA053. Bbl. 4 1/4". Model 1911-22 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Browning for the Browning Collector's Association. Left side of the slide features gold colored highlighted scroll engraving, "JOHN M. BROWNING/ MASTER INVENTOR", Browning's mfg. information, as well as the Browning logo. Right side of the slide features matching pattern scroll engraving, with "JMB", followed by "1911", "2011", CELEBRATING JOHN BROWNING'S", and "TIMELESS DESIGN", within a banner, and "MODEL 1911-22". Alloy frame and slide exhibit a black anodized finish, with some small parts exhibiting a dull blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Fixed serrated blade front sight, with dovetailed square notch rear sight. MAGS: 1 10-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: cardboard box with matching label, containing a Browning commemorative soft case, and factory paperwork. Pistol is also accompanied by a factory letter, indicating that this example was sold for $629.00 (Invoice #2607970) on December 21st of 2011. CONDITION: near new, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finishes overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent. Box shows some light exterior wear, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Jon Thomas, Gunsport, LTD. (25-1142/MLW). MODERN. $600-900.
