Cal. 45 Colt. S# 306757. Bbl 5 1/2". Bisley Model single action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1908. The left side of the barrel is stamped "(BISLEY MODEL) 45 COLT", with Colt's single line address across the top. Left side of the frame is stamped with patent information, followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Frame and hammer exhibit a case color hardened finish, with the cylinder, barrel, ejector rod housing, trigger guard, and back strap being blued. Frame is mounted with Colt 2 piece checkered hard rubber grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, trigger guard, and rear grip strap, with the grips matching via a hand-inscribed number on the interior of the panels. CONDITION: frame retains large amounts of its original factory case color hardened finish, exhibiting some fading and a couple areas of wear through to gray patina. Blued components retain the majority of their original factory finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to pleasant brown and gray patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Action timing is off and requires gunsmith attention. Grips show some mild smoothing and a couple scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, with the right panel exhibit a smooth loss to the checkering, appearing to be the result of a quick grind, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. A nice 1908 vintage Colt Bisley Model revolver. (23-1411/MLW). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
