Cal. 38 Spl. S# 58681R. Bbl. 2". Cobra double action revolver mfg. by Colt, circa. 1977. The left side of the bbl. is marked "COBRA/ .38 SPECIAL CTG.", with Colt's 2-line address marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked with Colt's "VP" proof, as well as well the Rampant Colt logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the sides of the hammer, which are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece oversized Colt gold medallion stag grips, which feature a wood extension between the panels at the butt. Fixed serrated blade front sight, with square frame notched rear sight. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few superficial handling marks overall. Cyl. bears a light drag line. Sides of hammer exhibit a few spots of age related discoloration. Very bright bore, exhibiting what appears to be an area of light pitting and areas of hardened carbon, but otherwise retaining well defined rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Grips are very good overall. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Jon Thomas, Gunsport, LTD. (25-1120/MLW). MODERN. $500-800.
