BERMANN BAYARD SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Bergmann. S# 6852. Bbl. 4". Model 1910 Bergmann Bayard semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Anciens Etablissements Pieper under contract for Denmark. Left side of the bbl. extension is marked "BREVETE./ S.G.D.G.", followed by ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS PIEPER./ HERSTAL-LIEGE./ BERGMANN'S PATENT.", with Belgian commercial proofs marked on the right. Right side of the frame is marked with the Danish army S# "774", with the full factory S# "6852" marked on the underside. Frame and bbl. / bbl. extension exhibit a rust blue finish, with the trigger and mag. release exhibiting a straw finish. Bolt, firing pin, locking block, and hammer are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black Trolit grips. Fixed blade front sight, with fixed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, bbl. / bbl. extension, bolt, firing pin, locking block, rear sight, as well as the firing pin retention pin. MAGS: 1 unnumbered 6-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked Danish pattern black leather holster. Provisions for spare mags./ammunition have been removed, with body having been cut down on the interior beneath the closure flap. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original or period arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, some superficial marks from handling and storage, as well as some spots/areas of light surface oxidation. Strawed parts retain traces of their original finish. In-the-white parts show some scattered spots of light age related discoloration. Very bright bore, exhibiting consistent light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear and scattered handling marks, as well as varying degrees of age related cracking and crazing overall.
