SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 380 ACP. S# 538742. Bbl. 3 7/8". Model 300 semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Spain by Astra under contract for Germany during the first year of the German contract in 1941. Top of the slide is marked with the Astra logo towards the muzzle, with Astra's mfg. information marked at the rear. Left side of the frame is marked with a triad of Spanish proofs, with the left side of the slide exhibiting an additional "P" within a flaming ordnance bomb proof. Frame and slide exhibit a blue finish, with smaller parts being polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: one 6-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few spots of light wear and thinning, some superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. In-the-white parts show some light to mild surface-level pitting. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light to mild pitting towards the breech, while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing, as well as some scattered marks from handling and storage, with the right panel exhibiting a large crack at the screw slot.
