SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE. Cal. 300 Savage. S# 33934. Bbl. 22". Model 81 "The Woodsmaster" semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Remington. The top of the bbl. sleeve is marked with Remington's manufacture information with the left side exhibiting a "KSS" date code stamp. The left side of the receiver is marked with the model designation, followed by the Remington trademark logo above the S#. Cal. designation is marked on the bbl. at the breech. Metal components exhibit a blued finish with the bbl. and bolt assembly being in-the-white. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock and forend. Brass tipped Marbles Sheard front sight with Marbles semi-buckhorn V-notch rear sight. CONDITION: very good overall with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light thinning plus scattered superficial marks from handling and storage. Bbl. and bolt assembly exhibit some age related discoloration, but are otherwise very good overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered nicks, dings, and marks (predominately on the underside of the buttstock), but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
