SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# C1277. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis.35 (also known as the "wz.35" or "P.35(p)") semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Poland at the Radom arsenal while under German occupation during World War II. The left side of the slide is marked "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567.", followed by an eagle firing proof and Steyr Eagle/623 proof (indicating final assembly at Steyr), above a Radom WaA77 proof, and the German designation "P.35(p)". Left side of the frame is marked with a Radom Eagle/WaA77 proof, with Steyr Eagle/623 proofs marked on the bbl. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips, with "FB" on the left panel and "VIS" on the right. Slide features a matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. Frame is slotted for a stock attachment. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), and bbl. (left side of lug). MAGS: 1 blued 8-rd. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning, some light edge wear, some superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting some scattered pin prick spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as well as a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: the Estate Collection of Charles Wagner.
