Cal. 9x19mm. S# 838916. Bbl. 4 7/8". Model B Super semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Spain by Star. Left side of the slide is marked with the Star logo, followed by Star's mfg. information, as well as the cal. designation, with "MODELO/ SUPER" marked on the right. Butt is marked "SUPER" above the S#, with "SPAIN" stamped on the right side forward trigger guard web. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl. and trigger, which are jeweled. Hammer exhibits a case color-hardened finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown plastic grips. Blade white dot front sight, with square notch rear sight. MAGS: five 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: generic soft case. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting few diminutive superficial handling marks, as well as a couple of scattered flecks of light surface oxidation. Jeweled parts and hammer are excellent overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as areas of white discoloration, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Bill Peterken. (24-6132/MLW).
