SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 359608k. Bbl. 3 1/4". Model PPK semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1942 for police use. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Left side of the frame is marked with a German police Eagle/C proof. Right side of frame (on chamber), slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Eagle/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece Walther banner logo mottled brown checkered synthetic grip. Slide features a grooved matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and fixed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame and slide. MAGS: 1 7-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning, as well as some scattered superficial handling marks, and spots of light surface oxidation. Front grip strap exhibits moderate wear and thinning that shows through to gray patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grip shows some mild age related warping, some smoothing, as well as some superficial marks from handling and storage, with the rear of the grip exhibiting a crack that stems from that frame spur.
