SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, WITH MATCHING MAGAZINE. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 321272k. Bbl. 3 1/4". Model PPK semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1941 for commercial sales. Left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Right side of frame (on chamber), slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Eagle/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a polished blue finish overall, save for on the chamber, which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece checkered Walther banner mottled brown synthetic grip. Slide features a matte grooved rib, with a fixed blade front sight and fixed U-notch rear sight. Slide is matching to the frame via the last 3-digits of the S#, which are lightly inscribed on the interior, parallel to the ejection port. MAGS: 1 blued 7-rd. mag., matching via "272/ 1" on the floorplate. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning (primarily on the slide), with some superficial handling marks present overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grip shows some minor warping, as well as some light to mild smoothing, and a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: the Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (25-324/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
