FEU. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 187443. Bbls. dovetailed 29 1/2" are engraved with manufacturer's name, address, and "Grand Prix Paris 1900" along with steel type on matted game rib with doll's head extension. Tops of bbls. are stamped with Cockerill steel logos. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ pre 1922 Belgian Nitro proofs. Top lever action with crossbolt third fastener is fitted with backspring locks having serpentine rebounding hammers. Action is nicely game scene engraved with two setters on left and pointer and setter on right surrounded by a field of shaded scrolling acanthus. Locks show three snipe on left and partridge on right. Two ducks erupt from marsh on trigger guard bow. Serial number is on tang. Newly made straight grip buttstock of nicely fiddle figured European walnut measures 13 7/8" over ribbed horn buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip. A sling loop matching that on bbls. and a silver shield engraved "TFS"? are on toeline. Matching splinter forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .728", L .728". Restriction: R .015" (MOD), L .033" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .019", L .020". STOCK: DAH: 2 3/8". DAC: 1 1/2-".LOP: 13 7/8". CAST: approx. 1/4" off. WEIGHT: 6 lb. 11 oz. CONDITION: good as refurbished. Bbls. retaining over 90% fine reblack with some large deep scratches and gouges toward breech end and along rear portion of rib. Action retains most of its coin finish. Engraving is sharp and clear. Newly made stocks have only a few very minor marks in their original oil finish. Checkering with little wear.
