Cal.410. 3". S# 20453. Bbl. 28" solid rib with fixed full choke and steel bead. 12-2 pattern engraving by the late Nick Kusmit. The right side of the receiver he depicts a woodland scene with a pointer and two flushing partridge. Left side scene shows a pointer and flushing pheasant. Scenes are highlighted by vine type foliate scroll. Nick was a Master Engraver at Winchester from 1952-1980. He continued to engrave until his death at 92, in 2010. This is one of his last works and the effects of age are obvious. His initials "NK" are found on a fence post on the left side. Machine jeweled bolt and carrier. Aftermarket Big Head safety. Beavertail forearm and steel capped pistol grip stock of fancy walnut w/ diamond pattern checkering and gloss finish. Winchester stocks are 1990s vintage Japanese production. Mfg. 1936. CONDITION: fine as upgraded. Over 97% blue, showing slide wear on mag tube. Stock finish shows small scatter marks. Very good bright bore. (24-1978/DS). CURIO. $5,000-7,000.
