CONVERSION 1860 ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Colt Centerfire. S# 197688. Bbl. 8" w/ New York address has cartridge ejector mechanism fitted to original percussion rammer mortise. 6 Shot cyl. has Naval engagement scene. Frame w/ 1871 & 1872 patent dates fitted w/ first type conversion ring having integral rear sight & built in firing pin. Case hardened hammer has flat face. Loading gate numbered 1014 & has second type of spring. Left side of trigger guard & front strap stamped "44 CAL.". One piece walnut grips. All S#'s. match except on the loading gate. CONDITION: Very good retaining 10-20% original nickel on newly made cyl. that has strong scene & 30% nickel on refinished bbl. & frame assembly. Grips w/ about 40% varnish. Good bore, lightly pitted.
