Cal. 22 Short. NSN. Bbl 10". Rolling Block single shot target pistol appearing to have been converted from a Remington No. 4 rifle by Adolph O. Niedner of Dowagiac, MI. Barrel is stamped "A.O. NIEDNER/ DOWAGIAC, MICH. over the breech, with the pistol otherwise be devoid of any other markings. Metal components exhibit a finely reapplied blue finish. Frame is mounted with custom 2 piece checkered wood grips, as well as with a checkered wood forend. Interior of grips and forend are handwritten in pencil "2210". Brass beaded patridge front sight with dovetailed square notch rear sight. No. 4 rotary extractor. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their professionally reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some spots of mild wear and thinning, with some freckling, and a couple spots of light pitting beneath the finish. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise is very good overall.
