This lot, displayed on a partial mannequin, includes uniform pants & shirt with regulation green canvas belt & buckle. The soldier wears a backpack with entrenching tool, a 4 pocket grenade pouch with NVA Dewat grenades, & a 10 pocket cartridge belt with shoulder sling. The soldier has a canteen on his belt with appropriate cotton canvas sling. Completing the uniform is a green pith helmet with red star badge on the front, and a pair of Ho Chi Minh “tire tread” sandals. CONDITION: uniform appears unissued, but equipment shows light to moderate wear, as do the hat & sandals. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (02-18626/BF). $400-600.
