Cal. 16 Ga. 2-3/4"/22 Savage HP. S# 3825. The 26-3/4" demi-block barrels are engraved with maker's name and address on full length matted rib. Rib is fitted with flip-up rear and silver bead front sights. Claw scope bases are also fitted. Barrel flats are stamped with pre-1921 German nitro proofs for 16 Ga. and 9x74 cartridge. Rifle barrel has been lined to 22 High Power and not re-proofed. Case hardened single Kirsten scallop back O/U boxlock action with double under lugs is fitted with non-automatic safety, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators and double triggers (front set). Action is engraved with nicely cut scrolls and bouquets in vases flanked by olive leaves. Fences are semi-relief carved with acanthus. Steel trigger guard is also scroll engraved. Attractively fiddle figured and lightly streaked European walnut round knob buttstock measures 13-3/4" over dark brown leather pad. Stock features shadow line right hand cheekpiece, point pattern checkering on diamond grip and inset horn drop points. Matching one piece forend has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: .674. Restriction: .034 (full). Wall thickness: .030. STOCK: DAH: 2-7/16". DAC: 1-1/2". CAST: about 5/8" off. LOP: 13-3/4". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 5 oz. CONDITION: good to very good. Barrel retaining most of its original blue. Action with about half of its case hardening color. Stocks retain most of what appears to be their original finish with loss at butt with fitting of newer pad. Checkering is moderately worn. Bores are fine; shotgun bore with light pitting toward breech end, rifle bore sharp and shiny. Action is tight. Mechanically good. (25-5025/MGM). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
