WITH MATCHING FACTORY BOX. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 11.008818. Bbl. 4". American Eagle Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser and imported by Interarms. The bbl. extension is marked with the Great Seal of the United States over the top of the chamber, with the S#, as well as Interarms' logo and mfg. information marked on the right. Top of the bbl. is marked with "FBM" within a Mauser banner, followed by the cal. designation. Toggle is marked with the Original Mauser logo. Front grip strap is marked "MAUSER-WERKE A.G. Oberndorf a.N.", with "Made in Germany" marked on the rear of the frame. Metal components exhibit a high polish blue finish overall, with the frame exhibiting areas of matte bluing on either side. Takedown lever, trigger, mag. release button, safety lever, and ejector exhibit a straw finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Dovetailed blade front sight, with fixed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, bbl. extension, as well as the rear toggle link, which is matching via the last 3-digits of the S# "818" on the underside in electro-pencil. MAGS: 2 blued Mauser Banner 8-rd. mags., with black plastic bottoms. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory box, containing the spare mag., a loading tool, as well as a brass cleaning rod. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish overall. Strawed are excellent. Mirror bore, exhibiting scattered areas of hardened grease, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, but otherwise are excellent. Box shows wear and areas of staining, with taped repairs on the corners of the lid, and 2 taped repairs on 2 corners of the lower section. PROVENANCE: the Estate Collection of Charles Wagner.
