Cal. 22 LR. S# 1294. Bbl. 24" round having combination front sight and screw adjusted elevation adjustable rear that appears from modern perspectives to be installed backwards, but it is not. Additionally has simple elevation adjustable tang sight that resembles a Lyman No. 1; front sight is also of Lyman style or manufacture. Mfg. 1920 or 1921 to 1928 when bought by Savage. References state rifle sales price of $9.40 in 1925. CONDITION: good general appearance with metal finish taking on a slight cleaned patina look; buttplate with more patina. Stock set has numerous handling marks and scratched "MORRY PA" over 'EDDIE" on left side of buttstock. Poor to fair bore with light pitting and wear; good candidate for a reline. (26-1553/NW). CURIO. $250-350.
