Early 19th century, American School, attributed to Charles A. Barry (American, 1830-1892). Oil on canvas portraits; 1) the young woman, purportedly Jane Drew, with three delicate gold beaded necklaces, wearing a black dress with narrow white lace collar. 2) The gentleman with brown hair and eyes, posed with a trace of a smile, wearing a high collared white shirt with white neck scarf over a yellow vest beneath a black jacket. Each housed in molded gold painted frames. SIZE: Each overall 29 1/2" x 25 1/2", works 26" x 22". CONDITION: 1) woman with extensive craquelure throughout, otherwise good. 2) gentleman with touchups around hairline, otherwise good. PROVENANCE: Farmington Falls, Maine Estate.
