This lot consists of the following flintlock pistols both about Cal. 70: 1) REPRO FLINTLOCK PISTOL. S# 467. Bbl. 9" oct. smoothbore. Round brass Blade front sight. Pistol appears to be a modern assembed piece. Right side of bbl. marked "BLACK POWDER ONLY ULTRA-HI". Gun otherwise appears unmarked. Brass trigger guard, ramrod tube & grip cap. Hardwood stock. Brass tipped hardwood ramrod present. CONDITION: stock shows a synthetic putty repair on left side of grip, scattered dings & handling wear. Brass parts are mostly a yellow patina with scattered oxidation, dings & pitting. Balance of metal is a gray patina with scattered oxidation & pitting. Hammer does not return to forward position when hand cycled. Pitted worn bore. 2) ASSEMBLED FLINTLOCK PISTOL. NSN. Bbl. 9" rnd. smoothbore. Small brass post front sight. Pistol appears to be an assembled piece using a mix of parts. Rear of bbl. has "LONDON" marking & British proofs. Upper tang has floral engraving. Lock appears unmarked & has a poor fit. Brass trigger guard, thimble & grip cap. Hardwood stock. Hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: stock shows some chips, dings & handling marks. Brass parts are a dull yellow patina with scattered oxidation & scratches. Balance of metal is mostly a dull gray patina with oxidation & dings. Action is very sluggish but functional when hand cycled. Oxidized bore. (01-26049/MJC). BOTH ANTIQUE. $200-400 for pair.
