WITH REGISTRATION MARKS BY TURNER. Cal. 66. NSN. Bbl. 5 5/8". Thomas turner is listed as working in Dublin around 1824 & these pistols probably date from around that period. Pistols are 10 1/2" overall. Bbls. are stamped “DUBLIN” on top flats along w/ circa 1843 Kildare county registration marks, "KD 1990" & "KD 1991". Sm. locks w/ flat plates engraved “TURNER” are fitted w/ French style flint cocks, rnd. bodied pans & bridled roller frizzens (rollers are on feather springs which have bulbous finials). Stocks extend w/ in 1/4" of muzzles & are fastened to bbls. w/ side bolts. Stocks have rudimentary iron mts. Trigger guards having acorn shaped finials, no caps are present on grips. Hickory ramrods w/ horn tips mt. through combination pipe/thimbles. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2 nickel plated powder measures, sm. unmarked copper bodied rectangular powder flask. CONDITION: fair to good, metal parts w/ smooth brown patina. Stocks w/ old hand worn finish. Cocks appear to be old replacements. Mechanically good. One ramrod old replacement w/ painted tip.
