1) 13 1/4" Overall, 8" dbl. edged very thin blade reminiscent of other American Indian identified blades. Bone handle has carved notch design along inner edge & has melted lead in bone cavity to retain blade in place. This is a classic American Indian style knife where many identified examples can be found in institutional collections. CONDITION: very good overall & as found, iron patina blade bone handle has hand worn patina w/ several hairlines unaffecting aesthetic. 2) 11" Overall, 6 1/2" blade mounted w/ iron pinned striped maple stock w/ decorative pewter inlay at guard. CONDITION: very good overall, blade is overall gray w/ pitting, sharpening, grip refinished w/ varnish coating. PROVENANCE: From the Robert Vines Collection. (02-15314-13/JS). $600-800.
