1) Cal. 30 Rem. S# 64893. Bbl. 22". Model 8 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Remington UMC. Top of bbl. shroud and left side of receiver exhibit standard factory markings. Metal components exhibit a high polish reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the bbl. and bolt assembly, which have been cleaned and polished in-the-white. Plain wood schnabel tip forearm and straight grip buttstock with grooved steel buttplate. Wood furniture has been sanded and refinished. Contemporary Lyman blade front sight (bead broken off) and 2-screw fastened elevation adj. U-notch rear sight. Left side of receiver exhibits 2 small filled holes, likely for a previously mounted sight attachment. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few superficial handling marks, with some scratches and spots of light pitting present beneath the bluing. In-the-white parts retain a bright appearance, exhibiting some striations and a couple of small spots of light pitting. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light pitting and 2 shallow ring bulges towards the muzzle, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered superficial marks and small impressions from handling and storage, with the left side of the buttstock exhibiting 2 small cracks on the wrist that stem from the receiver. (26-3158/MLW). 2) Cal. 32 Rem. S# 39283. Bbl. 22". Model 8 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Remington. Top of the bbl. is marked with Remington's 2-line mfg. and patent information. Upper receiver tang is marked with the Remington trademark logo, with lower tang being marked with the Remington UMC trademark logo. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the bbl. and bolt, which are polished in-the-white. Apparent replacement checkered wood schnabel tip forearm and pistol grip buttstock with black synthetic grip cap and grooved steel buttplate. Contemporary Lyman dovetailed blade front sight (bead broken off) and 2-screw fastened U-notch rear sight. Left side of the receiver exhibits 2 small filled holes, likely for a previously mounted sight attachment. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some superficial handling marks and scattered spots of light surface oxidation, with some scattered spots of light pitting present beneath the bluing. Very bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics.
