RIFLES. 1) WINCHESTER MODEL 62A SLIDE ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# 371991. Bbl. 23 1/8". Model 62A slide action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1957. Left side of receiver is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the Winchester trademark logo, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood straight grip buttstock with grooved wood pump. Wrist is wrapped in a band of period leather. Blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain good amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as scattered superficial handling marks and a few scattered spots of surface oxidation overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting a few spots of light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Model 61 slide action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1947. Left quarter flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "WINCHESTER/ PROOF STEEL", followed by the model designation, the Winchester trademark logo, as well as the cal. designation. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock with grooved wood pump. Pistol grip is wrapped in period leather. Blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain trace to fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to brown and gray patinas. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few scattered small spots of light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
