Cal. 20 Ga., 2 1/2". S# 171000 (1915). Titanic Steel 28" bbls. w/ slightly raised concave matte rib w/ Meridan, Conn address, doll's head extension, & bright front bead. Size O frame w/ nickel plated dbl. triggers, ejectors & automatic safety. Frame has "D" style engraving that extends to the bolsters, trigger guard bow & tang, & forearm iron. Engraved setter scene on left side, pointer on right side & 4 flushing quail on floorplate. Matching numbered ejector splinter forearm w/ segmented point pattern checkering & steel tip. Replacement pistol grip stock w/ walnut stock w/ stock ears having tear drops & checkering at wrist. Pistol grip has Parker Bros. hard rubber grip cap. LOP: 13 1/4" to engraved skeletonized buttplate & checkering on butt. DAC: 1 1/2". DAH: 2". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 6.52 LBS. MEASUREMENTS: Bore Diameter: .617, .617. Choke Constriction: R- .010, L - .022. Minimum Wall Thickness: R - .025, L - .025. CONDITION: bbls. have good blue fading in carry areas to gray / brown patina w/ marks through & at muzzle, peppery oxidation & wear spots. Action has good case colors in protected areas w/ balance faded to gray w/ pinprick oxidation, light marks & darker patina on bow. Very good forearm finish. Fair buttstock w/ chips & epoxy filler around tangs, chips of checkering around buttplate, scattered impressions, marks & white paint. Bright shiny bores w/ scratches & fouling forward of chamber & around choke areas. Action appears tight on face. Ejectors appear to be in time. (23-2394/MD). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
