WITH GOLD INLAY. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 121574. The 30" barrels are fitted with unmarked raised ventilated rib. Breech ends are deeply engraved with heavy scrolling acanthus for 6". There is 1 1/2" of matching engraving at muzzles. Barrel flats are stamped with S# & Remington repair code KZZ3 (May 1960). Side of lump is marked "A1S GRADE 12 GA." "FOR 2 3/4" SHELLS", bottom of lump is marked with frame size "1 1/2". Splinter is of reinforced type. Blued Parker action features non-automatic safety and gold plated Miller single selective trigger. Watertable has patent markings and has been remarked for grade. This guns S# is not listed in the ledger. Action is engraved with deep scroll matching barrels within geometric borders which surrounds game and dog scenes; major subjects in relief gold inlay. Left side depicts a pointer in open meadow with three flushing grouse, right side has a scene of three ducks flying over a marsh. Trigger plate depicts two flushing pheasant, and another duck is on trigger guard bow. Fences are relief engraved in foliate motif. Consignor states this is the work of Pachmayr, however there is no evidence of this on the gun. What appear to be engraver initials "FEW" are at bottom rear of dog scene. Capped pistol grip Monte Carlo buttstock of stump figured American walnut measures 14 1/8" over basketweave solid brown Pachmayr pad. Side panels are checkered and grip checkering is of semi-fancy pattern. Matching beaver tail ejector forend is braced in Model 21 manner. Patent date is on engraved Parker latch. CAST: approx. 5/8" off. LOP: 14 1/8". WEIGHT: 8 lb. 3 oz. CONDITION: fine as custom finished, barrels and action show some light silvering to their blue.
