Cal. 12 ga. 2 3/4". S# 79384. Bbls. 30" of Damascus steel w/ fixed Full & Full chokes. Steel bead. Case colored boxlock action w/ G grade engraving. Engraving features scenes of partridge on right side w/ ducks on left & pheasants on floorplate. Scenes are surrounded by scroll highlights & fancy borders that extend to forearm iron. Breech end of bbls. have borderline engraving. Steel tipped splinter forearm & hard rubber capped pistol grip stock of European walnut w/ G grade checkering. Toeline of stock has German silver shield. LOP: 14 1/4" over dog's head buttplate. DAC: 2". DAH: 3 1/8". Neutral cast. WEIGHT: 8 lbs, 5 ounces. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: The Parker Gun Collectors Association Inc. letter, "Parker shotgun, serial number 79384, was ordered by C.P. Utter of Bloomington, NE on August 11, 1896 and shipped on August 20, 1896. According to Parker Bros. Order Book No. 41, it was a GH hammerless, 12-gauge. It featured Damascus steel barrels with a length of 30 inches. Comment states to 'make shoot #4 close.' / The price was $80.00. / According to Parker Bros. Stock Book No. 28, the stock configuration was a capped pistol grip and its specifications were: Length of Pull: 14 1/4", Drop at Heel: 3 1/8", Weight: 8 pounds and 5 ounces. The chokes were patterned RH full and LH full.". CONDITION: metal finish has faded to gray, showing spotted light corrosion.
