Cal. 58. S# 5271. Bbl. 24". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 600m. Case-colored lock and hammer. Lock has crown "PH" and "1861 ENFIELD" markings. Blued bbl. and bands. Brass trigger guard and buttplate. Walnut stock set with crisp Parker Hale roundel and bottom-mounted sling swivels. Ramrod is present. CONDITION: stock shows some dirt staining and handling marks. Brass parts have a dull yellow patina with scattered oxidation staining and light dings. Lock and hammer retain most of their case colors with some light oxidation. Blued parts retain nearly all their finish with some light oxidation. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Very good bore. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Bill Peterken.
