Cal. 10 Ga., 2 5/8". S# 69040. The "N" grade was offered only in the 1880s-90s & engraved in a style which resembles the later "P". This example has 27 1/4" bbls. marked w/ Parker Connecticut address & "TWIST". Bbl. flats stamped w/ all correct markings. Bottom of rear lump stamped "2" (frame size). Typical Parker hammerless action features fishtail top lever, automatic safety & dbl. triggers. Action engraved in "N" style w/ starbursts around screwheads & sprays of scroll all w/in geometrical borders. S# is on trigger guard tang. Capped pistol grip American walnut stock shows some light figure & measures 14 1/8" over Parker dog's head buttplate w/ spur. Point pattern checkering is at grip & a vacant German silver shield is on toeline. Matching splinter forend has patent date on usual Parker release. MEASUREMENTS: bbls.: bore diameter: right: .754, left: .752". Restriction: right: 0 (CYL), left: 0 (CYL). Minimum Wall Thickness: right: .040", left: .050". STOCK: DAH: 3". DAC: 1 3/4+". LOP: 14 1/8". CAST: 0. WEIGHT: 8 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: good. Bbls. retaining most of their original twist pattern. Action w/ scant traces of original color hardening is nearly all gray brown. Stocks retain a considerable amount of what appears to be their original finish w/ many marks, knocks & dings. Checkering considerably worn.
