RIFLE. Cal. 6.5x55mm. S# 511930. Bbl. 22 5/8". Model 70 originally mfg. by Winchester in 1961 and subsequently customized by renowned gunsmith, Paul Jaeger, per the consignor. The left side of the replacement bbl. is engraved "6.5x55", with Winchester trademark logo marked on the left side of the receiver wall. Receiver and bolt handle exhibit a matte blue finish, with the bbl., bolt shroud, trigger guard, and floorplate exhibiting a standard blue finish. Bolt body is polished in-the-white. Figured wood pistol grip buttstock features a cheek rest, ebony forearm tip, as well as a blued steel pistol grip cap and a finely checkered steel buttplate. Receiver is mounted with a Leupold VX-11 2-7x33mm scope. Bolt is matching to the receiver via the first 4-digits of the S#, which are electro-penciled on the underside of the bolt body. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their blue finishes, exhibiting few minute handling marks and few small spots of light wear. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Buttstock exhibits some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
