SELF OPENING HEAVY GAME OR PIGEON GUN WITH CASE. Cal. 12 ga. 2 3/4". S# 10250. The 27 1/2" chopperlump bbls. fitted with slightly raised flat matted rib are engraved with maker's name and address and retailer's info (Armeria Ravell-Barcelona) on tops. Bbl. flats are stamped with 1968 Spanish Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers & bbls are fitted with H&H type self opening assist spring. Robust coin finished sidelock action features automatic safety ("SAFE" engraved), hidden third fastener, sideclips, bushed strikers, H&H type detachable sidelocks, gold plated internals, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators, and double triggers (front articulated). Action and lockplates are hand engraved with near full coverage varying sized scroll and rose bouquets in traditional English style. Maker's name and address are on bottom of action. Blued trigger guard is also scroll engraved. Straight grip buttstock of well streaked dark European walnut measures 14 1/2" over thin red rifle pad. Nicely shaped drop points are behind lockplates and closely spaced point pattern checkering with mullered borders is on diamond hand. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .727", L .729". Restriction: R .018" (MOD), L .040" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .030", L .030". STOCK: DAH: 2". DAC: 1 3/8". LOP: 14 1/2". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 6 lb. 13 oz. UNNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun comes with typical Spanish leather case with brass plated corners. Interior is lined in green felt and has new Arrizabalaga label in lid. Case contains a pair of snapcaps, two piece cleaning rod & two mops. Case has blued canvas, black leather trimmed outter cover with snap closure. CONDITION: fine as refinished. Bbl. retaining nearly all of a good quality reblack. Maker's name is hard to see. Action is cleaned to coin finish, lockplates remaining gray with some brown. Trigger guard and top lever reblued. Stocks with good quality oil refinish have a few minor marks. Checkering is recut. Bores are bright and shiny without noted problems. Action is tight. Mechanically fine. Case leather is still light in color. There is some heat or water damage right front portion of top that shows loss to wood. There is also staining that leaves a speckled appearance on front edge. Interior cloth looks new. Accessories are good. Outer cover is good. Arrizabalaga is known for making only "best" quality guns. (22-4536/MGM). MODERN. $5,000-8,000.
