ENGRAVING BY FAUSTO GALEAZZI. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S#119792. The 29-1/2" mono-bloc barrels with fixed chokes (Mod & Full) are mounted with slightly raised matted ventilated rib. Left ejector housing is marked "Perazzi BRESCIA MADE IN ITALY". Bottom of mono-bloc is stamped with 2001 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. Coin finished low profile action has removal trigger/firing group with gold plated internals. Safety in non-automatic; trigger is non-selective. Action is engraved with full coverage of well cut scroll that has some floral and foliage highlights which surrounds good Bulino renderings of game birds on sides; a pair of pheasant in open brush land on left and a pair of pintails settling into marsh on right. Bottom of action is engraved with spaniel retrieving a mallard. Engravers signature "Galeazzi F." is on action to right of trigger group. Blued top lever, trigger group housing and trigger guard are engraved with matching scroll and blossoms. Extreme pistol grip buttstock made of finely veined and fiddle figured European walnut measures 14" over thin black Perazzi pad. Grip with right hand palm swell is checkered in point pattern. Matching one piece forend with schanbled tip has Deeley type release. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: DAH: 2". DAC: 1-9/16". CAST: about 5/8" off. LOP: 14". WEIGHT: 7lb. 14oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun comes with its original blue canvas, tan leather trimmed Perazzi hard case. Interior is lined in blue cloth and contains: instruction manual, warranty card, stock removal tool, spare parts kit (containing main spring, strikers and wrench), a tube of Perazzi special lubricant and bags for barrels and action. CONDITION: exceptionally fine. Has seen perhaps 100 shots as evidenced by very slight firing halos on breech face. Otherwise, gun retains all fine factory finishes on wood and metal with a few minor handling and assembly marks. There is some slight rusting on left side of mono-bloc which should clean up well. Case is very fine with some rubs on exterior, interior fine. (23-1699/MGM). MODERN. $10,000-15,000.
