Action has generous coverage of vine type foliate scroll hand engraving with punch dot backgrounds of the L.D. Nimschke style that continues to the buttplate peak. Original walnut forearm. Replacement walnut stock utilizing original crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Total of 6,403 mfg. 1883-1885. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original stock is broken from top tang through toeline area with a epoxy repair. Comb of stock is trimmed to a low position. Prior unknown auction listing. CONDITION: metal has faded to a smooth gray patina showing scattered dents and spots of light pitting. Refinished forearm has repairs along the bbl. channel with remaining dents and marks.
