ENGRAVED & INLAID MODEL K15 BOLT ACTION SPORTING RIFLE. Cal. 270 Win. S# 855113. Blued 24" tapered bbl. mfg. without sights. Blued action & scope bases feature full coverage deep relief oak leaf and acorn engraving tastefully highlighted by singular rose gold wire scroll inlays. Scope rings inlaid with with gold wire borders surrounding oak leaf clusters bearing acorns at top. Bottom of action, mag. floorplate & sides of trigger guard adorned in similar fashion with multicolored gold wire inlays bordering oak leaf & acorn deep relief engraving. Trigger guard bow bears contrasting metal inlaid "EW EDWARDS" over stippled background with rose gold wire inlaid borders. Edwin Edwards served as Governor of the state of Louisiana for nearly 16 years in non consecutive terms between the years of 1972 and 1996, making him the sixth longest tenured Governor in U.S. History. Highly figured oil finished European walnut Monte Carlo shadowline cheekpiece stock with Schnabel horn forend tip & flared horn grip cap. Beautiful relief carved oak leaf & acorn patterns appear at both sides of wrist, sides & bottom of of forend in a wraparound fashion & ahead of forend tip. Straight line single file carved oak leave wrap around termination of buttstock ahead of Pachmayr Presentation recoil pad and along bottom contour of cheek piece. All stock carvings have simple straight line / fleur de lis carved borders. End of forend tip & bottom of grip cap likewise have carved oak leaf & acorn pattern. Sling studs inlaid with 3 rose gold acorns each. Right side of bbl. marked "VOERE VOEHRENRACH MADE IN GERMANY". Left side of receiver marked in gold "Kleinguenther, Seguin / Tex.". Rifle fitted with Zeiss Diavari C 3-9x36 scope with crosshair reticle. CONDITION: very good to near excellent overall. Bbl. has a few scattered traces of light oxidation. Stock displays a few scattered very light handling marks. Bright shiny bore with crisp rifling.
