PROVENANCE TO CDR D. T. COULTER OF USN SEAL TEAM THREE. Approx. 458 mfg. from Sept. 1991 to Sept. 1992. Less than 250 were sold to Naval Special Warfare Command & issued to Seal Team Three & to a few East Coast Teams. Overall: 10". The 425M Stainless steel, 57 plus RD hardness 5 3/8" blade has a tall double bevel false edge & sawblade spine. Zytel grooved & checkered handle. Black Zytel sheath. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: copied pages from "M9 BAYONET The Authorized history" by Richard Neyman pertaining to this style of knife. A memorandum for the Record from Phrobis Inc. dated 1 December 2014 detailing the history of D. T. Coulter's involvement with Charles Finn in finding a new knife for the USN Seal teams to replace the Ka-Bar knife. Also included is a signed photo of the knife & Navy brochure. CONDITION: Blade & crossguard have very good black oxide finish w/ finish loss consistent with contact points to scabbard. Scabbard very good showing light marks.
