Cal. 380. S# 219441. Bbl. 2 1/8". Bayard Model 1908 semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Anciens Etablissements Pieper. The left side of the slide is marked "* CAL. . 380=9 M/M. MODELE DEPOSE *", with "* ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS PIEPER */ * HERSTAL-BELGIUM *" and the Bayard logo marked on the frame. Right side of frame and slide exhibit various Belgian proof marks. Top of slide is marked with patent information. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "BAYARD" marked checkered black hard rubber grips. Blade front sight with V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame and slide. MAGS: 1 5-rd. with 4 transverse indicator holes. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, with light to mild surface oxidation and pitting present overall. Bore exhibits consistent moderate pitting, while retaining fair to good rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show smoothing and some marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (25-5059/MLW). CURIO. $300-400.
