WITH LEFT HAND STOCK AND ORIGINAL SIGHTS. Cal. 4mm RF. S# 5970. The 27-1/2" octagon barrel is stamped "N10" at muzzle which is also stamped with four 7s and is otherwise unmarked except for S# on bottom under forend and BUG proofs on right rear. Case hardened action is of vertical block style as described and illustrated on page 43 of "Alte Scheibenwaffen Volume 3" as compiled by Tom Rowe. The only markings are S# on left side. Firing mechanism takedown lever is on right. Action is fitted with double set triggers and has spurred and looped trigger guard. Sights appear to be original with Diopter rear having large eye piece with interchangeable apertures and post front sight in looped shroud. Remnants of rear sight are dovetailed through barrel. Schutzen style stocks are fully formed with high left hand cheek piece with corresponding volute on left side of stock, hooked butt, thumb rest, grip checkering and sling button. CONDITION: fine to very fine, needing cleaning. Barrel with over 70% blue. Action with about 80% case hardening color with brown flecking. Stocks retain most of their oil finish. Bore appears to be fine, but needs cleaning. Mechanically good, trigger will not set, probably needs adjustment. (23-4728/MGM). C&R. $800-1,500.
