9” x 2.5”, sinew sewn, full coverage with dark blue, black, white-heart red, greasy yellow, & transparent red beads on light blue ground. Pewter mounted hunter/skinner knife 10” overall, 6” blade with indiscernible maker, inset pewter star in burl grip. This knife & sheath from the Floyd Ritter collection is pictured on page 3 of John Baldwin’s 1997 text “EARLY KNIVES & BEADED SCABBARDS OF THE AMERICAN FRONTIER”.
