REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spl. S# C765359. Bbl. 4", heavy, pinned. Ramped, serrated blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Mfg. 1963-1965. Backstrap has police marking that reads "W.S.PD. 100," possibly for the Winston Salem, NC, police department. Blued finish with case-colored trigger and hammer. Checkered hardwood grips with silver S&W medallions. CONDITION: grips show scattered flaking varnish and handling marks. Hammer and trigger retain much of their case colors with some light oxidation and operational wear. Balance of metal retains 60% original blue with a couple patches of oxidation on bbl., scattered edge wear, fading to brown, and a few spots of further oxidation. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Very good, bright bore. (24-5495/MJC). CURIO. $300-400.
