Cal. 5.56mm. S# J00947. Bbl. 11". A Portland, Maine manufactured Bushmaster Pistol. This unique early Bushmaster version of the Colt Imp pistol swivels in front of the chamber to accommodate left hand or right hand shooting. Post front sight remains at 12 O'clock on barrel orientation but swivels several degrees clockwise & counter clockwise, w/ manually adjusted rear notch sight to match. Pistol is held flat to extended forearm to aim. Top mounted ejection port w/ left side charging handle. Threaded barrel terminated w/ A1 style flash hider. Left side safety / selector. Matte black finish. Bottom rear mounted sling swivel. MAGS: 30 rd aluminum. CONDITION: Finish complete & consistent w/ thinning in areas of mechanical intervention. Bright bore w/ descent rifling. Under normal conditions the entire mechanism has quite a bit of play in it, and this one seems a bit more excessive. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. PROVENANCE: Lifelong Collection of Terrance McCarty. (24-286/JZ). MODERN. $400-700.
