This drum measures approx. 12” in height and 17” in diameter. It has stenciled gold decoration on the upper & lower hoops with an American eagle decal next to the certifiably antique ivory peephole. A label inside reads “HENRY EISELE. Successor to WILLIAM SEMPF. MANUFACTURER OF BASE AND SNARE DRUMS, 209 & 211 Grand Street, New York. N.B.-DRUM HEADS, STICKS, CORDS & constantly on hand”. Eisele is known to have been working in New York City in the late 1880s. CONDITION: the top skin has a repair and the bottom skin has a split. The hoops & snare are loose due to the lack of ropes. This drum is solid but would need some restoration. Portions of rope are included in a bag. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Robert "Mike" Bricker. (02-22355/BF). $150-300.
