SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH FACTORY LEATHERETTE CASE. Cal. 32 ACP. S# 199680. Bbl. 3 1/4". Originally a standard configuration PPK mfg. by Walther in West Germany in 1966, this example was seemingly cutaway at the factory to demonstrate the internal operation of individual parts and components. The left side of the slide retains the majority of its Walther banner logo, with virtually all remaining markings no longer being present. Right side of slide is marked with the first 2 digits of the S#, with remaining numbers having been cutaway. Bbl. is marked with an Eagle/N commercial nitro proof, followed by "66", and an Ulm Proof House antler stamp. Edges of cutaway sections are painted red to highlight the individual "windows". Metal components are blued, with the frame having been mounted with 2-piece checkered mottled brown plastic Walther banner logo grips. MAGS: 2 7-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: blue leatherette factory presentation case, featuring a red velvet lining and containing 1 spare mag. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finish overall, save for a few superficial handling marks. Painted section exhibit some chipping and flaking, but otherwise are very good. Grips exhibit some superficial marks from handling and storage, but are otherwise very good. Case exhibits some light exterior wear, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (24-996/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
