HOLSTER. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 165298. Bbl. 4 15/16". P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1962. Left side of the slide exhibits standard markings consisting of the Walther banner logo, followed by Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations, with 2 Bundeswehr proofs (repeated on right side of frame) and the date code "3/62" marked on the right. Front grip strap is "PW ARMS, REDMOND WA" import marked. Steel parts exhibit a phosphate finish, with the aluminum frame exhibiting a black anodized finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips. Standard dovetailed blade front sight and U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block (top flat). MAGS: x1 Bundeswehr proofed blued steel 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather West German holster marked with a NATO number above ".Ta.F. Pist.38.Kal.9mm W/ F&B 10/62" on the rear. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their arsenal/factory applied finishes, exhibiting some light edge wear, with scattered light superficial handling marks present overall. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Safety / Decocker functions appropriately, but occasionally gets stuck in the "S" position. Grips show light smoothing and scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting general overall wear, with scattered spots and patches of light to mild crazing. (26-1506/MLW). CURIO. $500-800.
