ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 300 H&H Mag. S# 317257. Bbl. 22 1/4". Model 70 bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1954. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard factory markings denoting the model and cal. designations. Receiver and bolt handle exhibit a bead blasted blue finish, with the bbl., bolt shroud, trigger guard, and floorplate exhibiting a standard blue finish. Bolt body is polished in-the-white. 1-piece Monte Carlo checkered wood pistol grip buttstock with ventilated Pachmayr red rubber recoil pad and added sling swivels. Rear sight dovetail is empty. Receiver is factory drilled and tapped, currently mounted with a 1-piece Redfield scope base and 2-piece Leupold scope rings, featuring a Leupold VX R Scout 1.5-5x33mm scope. Trigger is fitted with a grooved trigger shoe. Bolt body matches the receiver via the full S#, which is electro-penciled on the underside. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish with areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina on the bolt knob, trigger guard, and floorplate. Bbl. exhibits some light to mild edge wear, with a couple patches of mild wear and thinning fading to gray patina, as well as some scattered handling marks and a few small spots of light pitting on the left side. Bright bore, exhibiting streaks of mild pitting (primarily in the grooves), while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows scattered marks, minor impressions, and a few scratches from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic. (25-4060/MLW).
