Cal. 45 Colt. S# 330534. Bbl 4 3/4". Single Action Army revolver manufactured by Colt in 1915. Left side of barrel is stamped "45 COLT", with Colt's 2 line address across the top. Left side of frame bears stampings stipulating Colt's patent information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Frame exhibits a case color hardened finish, with the cylinder, barrel, ejector rod housing, and trigger straps being blued. Frame is mounted with 2 piece Colt checkered hard rubber grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame and trigger guard. Grips are numbered "5134" on the interior of the panels. Frame and loading gate exhibit matching assembly numbers. CONDITION: frame exhibits wear overall that shows through to a mottled gray patina, with stronger case coloring present on the right side. Blued components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to a gray patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting some spots of light surface oxidation and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (23-2326/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
